This sexing method applies to any sex-linked barred breeding. Because the barred gene is sex-linked, when a barred hen is bred with a non-barred rooster, the hen can only pass the barred gene to her male offspring. This means that upon hatching, the male chicks will display barring, while the female chicks will not, making it possible to identify their sex straight away.
Barred gene carrier males can also be identified at hatch by the distinctive white dot on the top of their head, while females will hatch without this marking.

Next generation becomes just cross breed. Planned cross breeding (for the partichlar trait) only works on 1st generation.
