King Quail Dayold

Freshly hatched King Quail chicks are unbelievably tiny and light, looking much like tiny fluffy bumblebees. They hatch in various shades and colour. At this age, males and females share the exact same pattern, making them impossible to sex by feather color alone. Despite their microscopic size, they are incredibly fast and active from the moment they dry off. When moving them into the brooder, please be extra careful as they can squeeze through the tiniest of gaps.
