*Keep the *feathered area dry* after washing – the prolapsed tissue must be kept moist which is the reason why it needs to stay in & push it back in asap if it pops out.
• Use Cetrigen or Vetericyn spray, keep the area clean, and prevent fly strike at all costs.
• Keep the area dry to reduce irritation — nappy cream or haemorrhoid cream may help.
*We prefer not using “Sugar”, we have tried and we had to deal with millions of ants on top of prolapse.
• Keep her isolated, comfortable, and supported while she heals.
With gentle care and proper treatment, many hens recover beautifully.
