Description

Pick up and Interstate Transport

For local pick up : We expect the birds to be picked up within 5 days from the purchase date by appointment.

For interstate transport : The arrangements must be discussed prior to purchase. The customer is responsible for selecting and coordinating with a transport company of their choice. Due to various factors beyond our control, we cannot take responsibility for the birds once they leave our care.

– Happy Tails Pet Transport (Click to view) travels from SA to VIC frequently.
– The Critter Coach (Click to view) services throughout Victoria and New South Wales, Adelaide and Queensland (Rockhampton).

There may be additional companies available. Please feel free to research and select the transport service you are most comfortable with. We do not have any affiliation with the companies mentioned above.

“Ugly Teenagers” stage

These birds are still young and in their juvenile “ugly teenager” stage, this is not their final colour or pattern. They’ll go through another moult around 16-20 weeks, at which point their true beauty will shine through.

Minimum Order Quantity: 2 birds

The listed birds (in the same hatch) have often been raised together from hatch, forming a sibling-like bond. Regardless of how many existing birds a customer has, this minimum requirement helps ensure the new birds settle into their new home with a familiar companion.

Sexed Bird

We sex our chicks based on our experience and knowledge. If birds are offered as “Sexed Female/Pullets” and they turn out to be male, we offer a replacement where possible, or provide store credit, or a refund of the purchase price. Please see our Bird Guarantees for more details

Some of our sexed chicks come from either auto-sexing or sex-linked color breeding pens. Upon hatching, these chicks display distinct colors and markings based on their sex, allowing us to accurately determine their gender by appearance.

More info available – Auto sexing and Sex linked breeding

*Un-Medicated Feed Only*

Our birds are vaccinated for Coccidiosis upon hatching, allowing them to develop immunity from the vaccination. Common Chick & Grower feed contains medication for Coccidiosis, which can negate the immunity provided by the vaccination. Please ensure that you provide feed that does not contain medication or antibiotics. e.g. Red hen Pullet, Vella Stock feed, Compass stock feeds
